Canadian Online Intelligent Reporting Platform

Online reporting for police services, built as a product.

COIRP lets the public file non-emergency incident reports from any device, and gives agency staff a secure console to triage, route, and dispose of them. Every agency is a tenant, configured — not custom-built.

The platform

Three surfaces, one configurable product

Non-emergency reporting ties up communicators and front counters. COIRP moves that volume online without pushing agency-specific logic into code.

Public portal

For the reporter

A guided, responsive form that works on any browser, with no plug-ins.

  • Emergency gate and eligibility check before a report starts
  • Address validation, geocoding and map-pin adjustment
  • Jurisdiction check against the agency's boundaries, with redirection when out of area
  • Save and resume by signed, expiring emailed link
  • Media upload with type, size and malware controls
  • Tracking number, confirmation email and PDF summary
  • Supplementary reports linked to the original
  • English, French, and other languages with translation flagged as automated
Staff console

For officers and supervisors

A queue built for triage, with the decisions visible at a glance.

  • Queue and filters by date, status, assignee, type and location
  • Approve, reject, request more information, dispose
  • Assignment, reassignment and supervisory review
  • Configurable states, transitions, required roles and SLA timers
  • Templated and controlled free-text messaging to reporters
  • Original and translated text side by side
  • Internal case notes, staff only
  • Dashboards, PDF report export and list export to Excel
Configuration studio

For administrators

What would normally be a change request is a setting.

  • Form builder: fields, sections, validation, conditional logic
  • Incident types and their data requirements
  • Workflow, roles and permissions
  • Portal branding, content, help and privacy notices
  • Retention policies by incident type
  • Boundary and duty-location upload with overlap rules
  • Integration registry: enable, disable, modify

Assistance

AI where it shortens the work, labelled where it acts

Automated output is always marked as automated, and the original is always retained. Nothing is silently rewritten.

CapabilityWhat it does
Report summaryCondenses a submitted report for the reviewing officer. Labelled automated; the original text is never replaced.
Conversational intakeA chat assistant guides a reporter through the form in their language. The transcript is stored and audited.
TranslationInbound reports and outbound staff replies, each flagged as machine-translated.
Duplicate detectionConfigurable matching on contact, address, type and time proximity, with trend reporting and reasoned override.
RoutingDuty location and unit derived from boundary polygons, with defined overlap rules.

Digital evidence managementMedia export job over API or SFTP with a manifest
